Lilac and linen by the water

With most guests travelling, we planned this wedding as a weekend: welcome drinks on Friday, the ceremony and dinner on Saturday, and a slow brunch before everyone left.

We kept the design calm and coastal-cool — white, lilac and pale grey — so the lake and the hills could be the backdrop. Guests arrived to the ceremony by boat in two crossings.

Travel logistics were the heart of the plan: accommodation blocks, a shared timetable and a simple welcome note in every room.

Highlights

• A three-part weekend schedule shared with guests in advance
• Ceremony arrivals by boat, coordinated with the lodge
• Welcome notes and local guides in every guest room
